Trina Solar's intl biz gets EUR 150m to transition to European IPP
Sep 11, 2024 16:03 CEST(SeeNews) – Oct 20, 2014 – French defence and electronics group Thales (EPA:HO) signed on Sunday a contract to supply a military satellite communications system to the Qatari Armed Forces.
The company did not provide financial details of the deal but French daily La Tribune said the contract was worth around EUR 200 million (USD 255.2m).
Under the ground satellite project Thales will provide infrastructure and communications equipment for satellites to enhance Qatari national security through a long-range communications capacity.
Thales will also provide a Network Operations Centre to design and manage the system that will be operated by the Qatari Armed Forces.
