French Caisse des depots invests in 51 MW wind farm in Eure-et-Loir department

Nov 18, 2013 - French state bank Caisse des depots has acquired a 30% stake in a 51 MW wind farm from the project's developer JP Energie Environnement which holds the remaining majority stake in the project, the French bank said last week.

The project's total costs are estimated at EUR 80 million (USD 108.1m).

The Moulin d'Emanville wind park will be located in the Eure-et-Loir department. It will comprise 17 wind turbines of 3 MW each. The facilities are due to become operational in September next year.

The park's electricity output will be enough to cover the annual power consumption of more than 40,000 residents, or about 10% of the department's population.
