World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTJul 26, 2013 - French high-end batteries maker Saft Group (EPA:SAFT) said on Wednesday it is launching series production of its lithium-ion batteries in Germany.
The batteries will be a part of the BPT-S 5 hybrid intelligent energy management and storage solution of German Bosch, which targets the fast-growing residential photovoltaic (PV) electricity sector, Saft said.
With subsidies of a total of EUR 25 million (USD 33.2m) until the end of the year for eligible, certified decentralised battery storage systems supporting an on-grid PV system, the market potential is estimated at between 8,000 and 10,000 systems, the French company added.
