French packaging group Albea agrees 12-MWp solar off-take deal
Sep 19, 2024 5:38 CESTDec 11, 2013 - French solar power producer Solairedirect inaugurated on Monday a 10.5-MW solar park in Rion-des-Landes, southwestern France, regional media reported.
The project required a total investment of EUR 12.8 million (USD 17.6m). The facility consists of 35,280 solar panels which will produce 12.8 GWh per year, enough to meet the energy needs of 8,000 people while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 6,100 metric tonnes per year. Retail power rate has been fixed at EUR 0.1108, one of the lowest in France.
The power station in Rion-des-Landes is one of four installations which Solairedirect already operates in this region which have a total capacity of 34 MW.
