French packaging group Albea agrees 12-MWp solar off-take deal
Sep 19, 2024 5:38 CESTAug 30, 2013 - French solar panels maker Solarezo was placed yesterday in liquidation due to lack of potential buyers, news agency AFP said on Thursday, quoting a French judicial source.
The commercial court of Dax announced the liquidation of both Solarezo and its subsidiary Rezax. The two groups employed 81 people who had suspended work since mid-June.
In fact, Solarezo has been facing financial difficulties for years, while at the end of June the company was placed under receivership. Four potential buyers showed interest in the troubled solar group, but eventually none of them submitted an offer before the deadline of July 31.
A last-minute offer filed on Wednesday was turned down by the Dax commercial court.
In the past, Solarezo managed to set up a unit in Morocco and a subsidiary in Bulgaria.
