Global renewables developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has partnered with Finnish peer Will & Must to develop 600 MW of solar photovoltaic projects in Finland over the coming years.

The agreement with Will & Must marks FRV’s introduction to the Finnish market and its first step in the Nordics, FRV said in an announcement on Monday.

The 600-MW pipeline consists of several projects. The new partners expect these projects to reach the ready-to-build stage between 2024 and 2026.

No details were disclosed about the nature of the partnership.

“We are delighted to offer our international experience and expertise in promising new markets, such as Finland. This is one of the most promising markets for renewable energy and we are convinced that our offerings will be in high demand,” commented Andrea Fontana, Managing Director of FRV Europe.

Madrid-headquartered FRV is part of Saudi Arabia’s Jameel Energy, an independent power producer and environmental solutions provider formerly known as Abdul Latif Jameel Energy.
