GCube to market Assurant's solar project insurance scheme in US

Jul 11, 2012 - US insurance provider for green energy technologies GCube has agreed to distribute the solar project insurance plan of speciality insurance services provider Assurant Inc (NYSE:AIZ) for commercial solar project developers in the US.

Under the agreement, GCube can immediately start marketing the Assurant Solar Project Insurance scheme for commercial-size solar projects with capacity ranging from 100 kW to 3 MW across the US, the two companies said in a joint statement today.

The insurance scheme includes property and liability coverage and a warranty management programme at affordable prices, according to the statement.

Assurant developed the insurance and warranty management scheme in collaboration with solar developers, lenders, brokers and other sector players and launched it in May.
