GDF Suez inaugurates 78-MW wind park in France

(ADPnews) - Jul 15, 2010 - French utility group GDF Suez (EPA:GSZ) inaugurated today a 78-MW wind park in Haute-Marne, northeastern France.
With an installed wind power capacity of 705 MW that will reach 875 MW by the end of 2010, GDF Suez is the market leader in France, the group's vice president Jean-Francois Cirelli was quoted as saying by daily La Tribune.
The site has 39 turbines and will produce about 204 million KWh a year, equal to the consumption of 100,000 residents.
The wind park is set to contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 145,000 tonnes a year, equivalent to the annual emissions of 72,000 cars.
