Haffner Energy decides to spin off SAF business
Sep 13, 2024 16:01 CESTOct 17, 2013 - A biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant made by Cofely Services, a unit of French gas utility GDF Suez (EPA:GSZ), was inaugurated on October 7 in Forbach, northeastern France, the manufacturer said last week.
The plant should prevent 35,000 tonnes of CO2 from reaching the atmosphere, which is equal to taking some 15,000 vehicles off the road for a year. It will process 69,000 tonnes of firewood per year generating energy enough to power 8,500 buildings. The facility required an investment of EUR 33 million (USD 44.9m).
