Sep 12, 2024 11:11 CESTMar 17, 2014 - French utility GDF Suez (EPA:GSZ) will deploy two solar parks of a combined 2 MW in Dutch eastern Nijmegen and Zwolle, industry source Utilities.nl reported Monday.
GDF Suez and its subsidiary, Belgian utility Electrabel, will deploy the solar panels on the sites of power plants Centrale Gelderland in Nijmegen and Centrale Harculo in Zwolle. Each of the location will get four thousand solar panels installed on an area of about 1.5 hectares (3.7 acres).
Licences for the projects were obtained in 2013. In addition, entrepreneurial organisation Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland recently allocated a EUR 1.5 million (USD 2.1m) subsidy per solar park.
