US energy equipment manufacturer GE Vernova Inc (NYSE:GEV) launched on Tuesday its new online shop for onshore wind turbine components for Latin America.

The store, which follows the models in the US and Europe, has over 30,000 items available for purchase. Owners can buy spare parts and essential items for wind farms in a single transaction, the company said.

With this new offering, GE Vernova intends to reduce turbine downtime during replacement and repair as well as boost the growth of wind generation in Brazil and other Latin American countries.

At present, the manufacturer has more than 3,400 onshore wind turbines installed in the region. GE Vernova noted its current focus is on offering services for its Latin American clients, in addition to manufacturing wind blades at the LM Wind Power factory in Suape, Brazil's Pernambuco state.
