Germany-based Gehrlicher Solar has completed the construction of three solar parks with a total capacity of 9.0 megawatt peak (MWp) in Romania's central county of Mures, it said on Wednesday.

After the implementation of the two parks in Brasov, Gehrlicher Solar will reach a total installed capacity of more than 23 MWp in Romania.

The three parks located in Mures cover almost 19 hectares and were built for a Romanian private investor over a period of six weeks.

Each of the plants will produce around 4.0 gigawatt hours of green energy annually, preventing the emmission of about 10,500 tonnes of CO2 per year.
