Weekly renewables M&A round-up (Nov 4 - 8)
Nov 08, 2024 17:12 CESTThe government of Georgia has approved the concept of two wind farm projects totalling 108 MW that are promoted by UK-based holding company Georgia Capital Plc (LON:CGEO) through its renewable energy unit.
The Georgia-focused investor said Monday that winning the approval meant a step forward to securing power purchase agreements (PPAs) from the government, adding it expects to finalise the contracts “in the near future.”
The future wind farms will be located near the town of Kaspi and the Georgian capital city Tbilisi. The firm plans to build the projects simultaneously and have them up and running in the second half of 2022.
