AGP-Europe signs VPPA with Rezolv for 229-MW solar project in Bulgaria
Sep 05, 2024 12:07 CESTGerman-Austrian joint venture (JV) SENS LSG has connected two solar farms with a combined capacity of 141 MWp to the Bulgarian power grid, the firm said on Thursday.
The plants, one of 91 MWp and the other of 50 MWp, are located in the municipality of Dalgo Pole, where they join SENS LSG’s previously executed project, the partnership said.
SENS LSG is a JV between German solar developer and power producer Iqony Solar Energy Solutions (SENS), formerly known as STEAG Solar Energy Solutions GmbH, and Austrian engineering company LSG Group.
In 2022, SENS LSG grid-connected a 66-MWp solar farm in Dalgo Pole and soon began works on the 50-MWp section. The company acted as the engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) contractor on all three projects for Bulgaria’s Galaxy Investment Group.
Now operational, the three Dalgo Pole solar farms will be able to generate over 280,000 MWh of electricity annually.
“We are delighted to have successfully completed three projects of this scale. The rapid realisation of these projects is proof of the commitment and expertise of our team at SENS LSG and of the trust placed in us,” commented Kurt Stuart Ristl, Head of Project Sales at SENS LSG.
This article was updated to clarify that SENS LSG acted as the EPC contractor for Galaxy Investment Group.
