Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTGerman consultancy Planet in Green Projects GmbH said on Monday it has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 100-MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Iran.
The contract was signed with the Iranian renewable energy organisation SUNA and concerns a solar park that will be built near Tehran. The facility is expected to be generating some 165 million kWh of electricity per year, starting in the autumn of this year.
The company noted that appropriate preparation for the project has already been initiated.
Commenting on the news, Planet in Green’s managing director, Claus Preuss, said that the company is keen on developing additional, but smaller PV projects in Iran, of 10 MWp to 20 MWp in size.
Over the past five years, Planet in Green has been participating in solar projects both at home and abroad, including in Thailand and Brazil.
