Infener to set up 20-MW green hydrogen hub in Germany
Sep 17, 2024 14:59 CESTGerman energy solution provider Emerging Energy Corporation (EEC) will cooperate with the government of the Republic of Niger to explore and develop commercial green hydrogen projects in the West African country.
As part of the newly-signed agreement, EEC will also invest in various projects to decarbonise oil field operations and refineries in Niger through the use of carbon capture technologies. This will be in addition to relying on electrolysis for the production of green hydrogen from renewable power sources.
The partners’ intention is to make Niger a hub for green hydrogen production in the region. No details were given about specific projects.
