German Juwi sets up unit for Middle East, Africa

Sep 30, 2013 - German renewable projects developer Juwi AG said today it had established a new subsidiary, called Juwi Renewable Energies FZCO, which will be active in the Middle East and North and East Africa.

The new unit, based in Dubai, will operate chiefly as a consultant and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner especially for investors in solar projects. It was set up as a joint venture between the German company and local Z-One DMCC.

The company expects to implement its first projects in 2014. According to Juwi Renewable Energies FZCO's head Luca Sacchetto, solar power offers great possibilities for sustainable economic development in Africa.
