World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTSep 10, 2013 - Photovoltaic (PV) plants in Germany produced 4.13 TWh of power in August 2013, or 6% more as compared to the same month of 2012, according to estimates of the electricity exchange in Leipzig.
PV power generation reached its peak in July, of 5.1 TWh.
In August the PV plants accounted for 11.9% of the total power generation in the country, while in July this share was 14.4%, a study of Bernard Chabot for Renewables International showed.
The share of produced PV power in the first eight months of 2013 was 7.9% of the total generation in Germany.
The solar power production from January to August grew 6% in annual terms. This helped to partically offset the weaker wind power generation in the period.
