World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTJul 14, 2011 - German photovoltaic (PV) technology firm Q-Cells (ETR:QCE) and local football team Borussia Dortmund (ETR:BVB), or BVB, entered into a five year co-operation under the motto Solar Champions.
Thus, Q-Cells was chosen as BVB's Champion Partner and Q-Cells solar modules are to be installed on the roof and the facade of BVB's stadium Signal Iduna Park by October. The modules will have total capacity of 860,000 kWh per year and will be able to supply electricity for around 215 households.
The partnership, which includes a range of other measures, aims to make solar power, as well as the Q-Cells brand and products, more popular.
No financial details on the deal were disclosed.
