German Repower orders 48 cranes from Austrian Palfinger

Aug 4, 2011 - Austrian crane maker Palfinger AG (WBAG:PAL) announced today that German wind turbine producer Repower Systems (ETR:RPW) had placed an order for 48 cranes of the PSM 400 model, without disclosing any financial details.

The platform cranes will be used for servicing and maintenance of offshore wind turbines.

The delivery will take place as early as 2012.

Repower and Palfinger have been partners since 2003. Palfinger has also provided for Repower cranes of the PK 40002 range for the largest and most powerful wind turbines of the megawatt class, the Austrian company added.
