IEA urges proactive measures to integrate renewables
Sep 18, 2024 11:17 CEST(ADPnews) - May 23, 2011 - German wind turbine manufacturer Kenersys Europe GmbH has entered the US market, introducing a series of multi-megawatt Synerdrive technology featuring turbines.
The company announced on Friday that it had partnered with local robotic arc-welding systems maker Lincoln Electric for a showcase project at the AWEA Wind Power 2011 in Anaheim, California. During the exhibition, Kenersys is setting up the first turbine K100 2.5 MW at Lincoln Electric's headquarters in Ohio.
The family of Kenersys wind turbines include K110 2.4 MW, K100 2.5 MW, K82 2 MW, K100 2.5 MW wind turbines. The latter was introduced to Europe in 2009 as a prototype for Swedish state-owned utility Vattenfall, one of the largest wind farm owners in Europe.
Meanwhile, the new K110 2.4 MW product is a Class III turbine for low and moderate wind regimes. The turbine, as others in the Kenersys' product portfolio, is based on Synerdrive technology, which comprises the "Gridshaper" full conversion system for a smooth and stable power output and makes the turbine suitable also for weaker grids as well as for toughest grid codes.
