Germany’s BHTC to launch 22 mln euro investment project in Q2 - Bulgarian govt

Germany's Behr-Hella Thermocontrol (BHTC) plans to launch in the second quarter a 42.5 million lev ($28.2 million/21.7 million euro) project for the construction of a production unit and an R&D centre near Sofia, the Bulgarian economy ministry said on Monday.

BHTC plans to manufacture control units for automotive climate control at a plant located in the Sofia-Bozhurishte Economic Zone, the ministry said in a statement.

The plant will be put into operation in the spring of 2014. The project should create some 350 jobs.

BHTC, founded in 1999, has a workforce of around 1,000 employees worldwide.
