Germany's juwi to build two PV plants of 13 MW total capacity in Romania

German project developer juwi said on Wednesday it has started the construction of two solar power pants in Romania of a total capacity of 13 megawatts peak (MWp) under a engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with the Chinese investor HiSun PV and its partner Abacus Renewables.

The plants are being built by the Italian subsidiary in cooperation with the Bulgarian subsidiary, the company said in a statement.

Expected to be connected to the grid in November, the 53,700 modules will feed in more than 16 million kilowatt hours annually.

The bigger station, of a capacity of 7.0 MWp, is located near the southern town of Butimanu, while the other one - near the northwest city of Satu Mare.
