SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), August 28 (SeeNews) – Germany's development bank KfW has issued a 1.1 million euro ($1.3 million) grant to Bosnian state-controlled power utility Elektroprivreda BiH [SAJ:JPESR] for preparatory works towards the construction of wind park Bitovnja, EPBiH said.

The grant will fund additional wind potential tests on the site of the future wind park, geological and geotechnical research, an environment impact study and a feasibility study, Elektroprivreda BiH said in a statement on Monday.

Elektroprivreda BiH plans to build up to 25 wind turbines with total installed capacity of 60 MW in the northern part of the municipality of Konjic, on a mountain ridge.

The minimum annual production of the wind farm is estimated at 110 GWh of electricity.

Germany's KfW is also financing the construction of 48 MW wind park Podvelezje in Mostar.

Elektroprivreda BiH operates in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the two parts of postwar Bosnia. The other is the Serb Republic.
