German solar developer and installer Goldbeck Solar GmbH and solar cells and modules maker DAS Solar will jointly build a 145-MW ground-mounted solar farm in the Netherlands.

The Solar Project Swan will be located near Schiphol Airport. The project, owned by Energy Solutions Group, is touted as one of the largest solar installations to date in the country.

The three companies signed the contract for the scheme during the Intersolar Europe event held in Germany earlier this month, DAS Solar noted in a press statement published on Thursday.

Belgium-headquartered Energy Solutions Group is an independent power producer focused on renewable energy. Earlier this month, the company announced the opening of its new office in the Netherlands, located in Amstelveen close to the Schiphol airport.
