Fiba Group unit eyes EBRD loan for 75 MW of new solar in Turkey
Sep 17, 2024 15:21 CESTChinese wind turbine manufacturer Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (SHE:002202) has recently shipped the first batch of equipment for a 102-MW wind project developed by Aydem Energy in Usak Province, Turkey.
The company said in a statement today that it is delivering 17 units of its GW165-6.0MW smart wind turbines, with a custom purple colour of the blades, for this project. The shipment was launched on November 7.
Once completed, the wind park will have the capacity to meet the annual power consumption of about 73,000 local homes. According to Goldwind, the plant will represent the Turkish wind power market’s largest stand-alone capacity in the region and the largest capacity project in three years.
The Chinese supplier views this project as an opportunity to increase its “involvement in further green energy collaborations under the umbrella of the Belt and Road initiative,” the statement says.
