Goldwind, Sinovel win 2.65 GW of wind equipment contracts in China

(ADPnews) - Nov 5, 2010 - Chinese wind turbine maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Company (HKG:2208) won 1.3 GW and fellow company Sinovel Wind Group bagged 1.35 GW of wind power equipment contracts in a bidding process in China.

Local Guangzhou Daily reported today that Goldwind won 800 MW of contracts in the Xinjiang region and 500 MW of equipment agreements in the Zhangjiakou city. Sinovel was also awarded 800 MW of contracts in Xinjiang and 550 MW in Zhangjiakou.

Twelve enterprises took part in the bidding for a total of 3.3 GW of wind projects.
