US oilfield water infrastructure builder Goodnight Midstream LLC has ensured a renewable energy-backed water takeaway for its customers by signing a wind power deal with TXU Energy.

Goodnight Midstream said in a statement today that the retail electricity provider owned by Vistra (NYSE:VST) has agreed to secure certified Texas wind resources to cover the firm’s energy usage. The contract calls for the supply of a total of 72.5 million kWh of renewable power.

Independent energy services provider Priority Power Management (PPM) has acted as lead advisor to Goodnight Midstream, helping it structure the contract, the announcement says.

Goodnight Midstream owns and operates a network of water gathering pipelines and saltwater disposal wells used for gathering, transporting and disposing of produced saltwater for its oil and gas producing clients.
