World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTGerman energy solutions company GP JOULE GmbH has launched a crowd investment platform that will enable citizens to participate in solar, wind and heat projects.
The online platform GP JOULE Invest Crowd gives people the opportunity to invest in projects that are already completed and produce electricity while avoiding planning and implementation risks, the company said on Tuesday.
The first project which will be soon open for investments on the digital platform is the Hassenhausen wind farm in the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf, Hesse. The four wind turbines in the park produce 30,000 MWh and supply 10,000 households with green electricity. Local residents can get involved in the project with investments starting at EUR 250 (USD 266.47).
The real energy transition is decentralised and regional and GP JOULE wants as many people as possible to get involved in it, said co-founder and chief executive Ove Petersen.
