Italian alternative investments specialist Green Arrow Capital (GAC) has agreed to acquire from Quercus Investment Partners a Luxembourg platform managing more than 320 MW of installed solar and wind capacity in five countries.

GAC has signed a deal to buy Quercus Assets Selection Sarl (QAS), which manages assets through five separate vehicles, namely Quercus Renewable Energy (QRE), Quercus Renewable Energy II (QRE II), Quercus European Renewables (QER), Quercus Italian Wind Fund (QIWF) and Quercus Italian Solar Fund (QISF).

The five funds established by Quercus are active in Italy, the UK, Spain, Romania and Bulgaria.

The buyer said that this transaction will make it one of the top ten operators in Europe and the leading independent asset manager in Italy, managing some 400 MW of renewable energy assets.
