Qair, EPCG to explore opportunities for renewables in Montenegro
Sep 12, 2024 15:32 CESTThe government of Montenegro in a session on Monday gave the green light to a local company to start a detailed development of a 150-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the southern part of the Balkan country.
The project promoter is a company called Solar Power, an entity based in the capital Podgorica. It is registered to two private citizens.
The future solar farm will occupy around 1.3 million square metres (14m sq ft). Its site is located in the municipality of Cetinje.
The plant’s total output is estimated at roughly 214 MWh of electricity per year, according to the government’s press release.
