Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC (GREC) has commissioned the 80-MW Graphite solar farm in Utah, the biggest operational facility in its portfolio, the sustainable infrastructure investor said on Thursday.

The solar farm located in Carbon Country supplies with power a data centre of Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META), previously Facebook, located in Eagle Mountain. The plant has a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) in place with utility PacifiCorp for its output.

Greenbacker bought the solar project from developer rPlus Energies LLC at the end of 2020. Sundt Renewables acted as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the solar farm.

Including Graphite solar farm and projects under development, Greenbacker's clean energy portfolio has a combined capacity of over 2.6 GW.
