Greenlane Renewables Inc (TSE:GRN) has been awarded orders worth a combined CAD 13.5 million (USD 10.5m/EUR 10.3m) to supply biogas upgrading technology for a couple of landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas (RNG) projects in South America.

More specifically, Greenlane will deliver two water wash upgrading systems, each capable of processing enough landfill gas to produce up to 850,000 MMBTU per year of pipeline specification RNG for commercial use. The company, however, did not disclose the name of the project owner and the exact locations.

"Of the three core upgrading technologies that Greenlane offers to create pipeline quality RNG, for these two projects our proven water wash technology was identified as the most compelling, in large part because it scales particularly well with size and avoids expensive pretreatment to provide superior project economics," explained Brad Douville, president and CEO of Greenlane. He also noted that South America is a market that has “tremendous upside”.
