Greenvolt Next, a unit of Portuguese renewables company Greenvolt - Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT), announced on Monday that it will deploy 14 MWp of solar panels for local chemical company Bondalti.

More specifically, the company will install 24,720 photovoltaic (PV) panels within the unit located in Estarreja municipality, in the central coastal region of Portugal. Once deployed, the solar panels will be able to generate 21,049 MWh annually, meeting a portion of the factory's power needs.

According to Pedro Ramalhosa, co-founding partner of Greenvolt Next Portugal, this agreement is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the importance of solar power generation in reducing the energy bills of major energy consumers in the industrial sector.

Greenvolt Next Portugal is focused on the distributed generation (DG) market and currently has 184.8 MWp booked for future development.
