Greenvolt to sell 153-MW Italian solar bundle to Nuveen

Portuguese renewables developer and power producer Greenvolt - Energias Renovaveis SA (ELI:GVOLT) announced today it is selling a 153-MWp Italian solar project portfolio to UK fund manager Nuveen Infrastructure.

Valued at EUR 18.7 million (USD 20.6m), the sale concerns 19 projects across Italy that are expected to reach a ready-to-build (RTB) status between 2024 and 2025.

Greenvolt said that the portfolio, which will be sold in phases, was solely developed by the company.

The deal is part of Greenvolt's strategy of developing and subsequently selling solar projects, with the firm currently targetting more than 500 MWp for this year.

Overall, between 70% and 80% of Greenvolt's overall group pipeline, which reached 8.6 GW at the end of the first quarter of 2024, is expected to be sold, it noted.
