GRS, part of Spanish group Gransolar, today confirmed it will serve as the EPC contractor for the 300-MW Walla Walla solar project in New South Wales and added that this award expands its Aussie year-end pipeline to almost 2 GW.

As unveiled earlier this month, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures Australia, also known as FRV Australia, reached the financial close on the particular project and said that a joint venture between Gransolar and CHINT Solar/Astronergy will carry out the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work. According to GRS, solar trackers will be supplied by PV Hardware.

GRS said separately that this is its 13th solar photovoltaic project in Australia, where it recently connected the 200-MW Blue Grass plant for X-Elio and expects to complete in the coming months the 425-MW Wellington North and 90-MW Wunghnu projects for Lightsource BP.
