Oslo-based transport and installation services provider Havfram has received a contract from Spanish utility Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) to erect the turbines for the 315-MW Windanker offshore wind project in the Baltic Sea.

Havfram said in a statement today that it will provide support for the transport and installation of the 21 Siemens Gamesa turbines that will make up the facility off the coast of the German island of Ruegen.

The task will be handled by one of Havfram’s new-build wind turbine installation vessels, starting in the summer of 2026.

Once completed, the Windanker wind park will be selling its output under several power purchase agreements (PPAs), including with brake friction specialist TMD Friction Services GmbH, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and Amazon.com Inc.
