May 10, 2012 - Energy company Hawa Akkar officially presented its 60-MW wind project in the Akkar district of northern Lebanon, the company said in a press release on Wednesday.
The wind farm will generate enough power to supply some 60,000 households a year, Hawa Akkar's general manager Albert Khoury said.
During the press conference on the project's launch Khoury asked government officials to pass the required laws that will enable the company to start the production process.
