NGK to supply NAS batteries for demo project in Hungary
Aug 30, 2024 16:46 CESTFrench renewables company Voltalia SA's (EPA:VLTSA) Helexia subsidiary has installed the panels for three out of 20 rooftop solar systems totalling 25 MW it is delivering for Auchan Retail in Hungary.
Voltalia said on Thursday that Helexia is in charge of the development, construction, financing and commissioning of the photovoltaic (PV) arrays, spread throughout 20 locations in the Central European country.
The renewables company estimates it will gradually build the remaining 17 sites by the end of this year and during 2023.
Once up and running, the 20 rooftop PV systems should be able to generate more than 25.6 GWh per year, equivalent to the annual consumption of a city with 20,000 inhabitants.
Voltalia's CEO, Sebastien Clerc, noted that this is the first project under the global partnership with Auchan Retail, which also includes carports, energy efficiency and corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs).
