Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTHonduras will pay an additional USD 0.03 (EUR 0.028) per kWh to a total 10 photovoltaic (PV) plants of combined 300 MW, installed until the end of July, officials of state-owned power company Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrica (ENEE) told local media on Monday.
The bonus was offered in addition to Honduras' incentive price for renewable energy to stimulate the construction of solar plants by July 31 despite concerns about the higher prices. ENEE previously announced the completion of 233 MW until last week when other plants were still being tested.
The company will pay nearly USD 8.9 million per month for the 300 MW, with the bonus representing 16.67% of the sum, daily El Heraldo said. The largest plants are Soposa and Cohessa of 50 MW each, inaugurated in May, as well as Ecsa, Centroamericana and Cersa with 37 MW, 35 MW and 30 MW, respectively. The 10 completed installations were among 20 solar projects contracted by ENEE last year.
