Spanning a terrain of more than 20 hectares, the Tra Vinh Green Hydrogen project is being built within the Mekong Delta with the idea of becoming a local green energy hub. The plant will produce green hydrogen through the process of seawater electrolysis, initially targeting an output of 24,000 tonnes of hydrogen and 195,000 tonnes of medical-grade oxygen per year.

A ground-breaking ceremony for the project, which is estimated at VND 8 trillion (USD 327m/EUR 303m), was held in March 2023. Construction works are expected to be finalised within two years.
