World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTChina-based Huawei Technologies Co Ltd and fellow inverter maker SolarEdge Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:SEDG) have entered into a global patent licence deal that settles all pending patent litigation between the companies.
The two sides have been suing each other over the past few years in both China and Germany. The lawsuits were related to patent infringement.
The newly-signed deal includes a cross licence that covers patents relating to the products of both parties and grants certain other rights. The specific terms were not disclosed.
“This agreement ends lawsuits between the companies that were pending in Germany and China,” both Huawei and SolarEdge said in a statement.
