Hy2gen, whose investors include commodity trader Trafigura, signed the cooperation agreement with Angelica Lara Perez-Rios, Campeche’s minister of environment, biodiversity, climate change and energy, and the company’s cooperation partner, entrepreneur Ralph Wegner, representing MexCo as well as representatives of GIZ Mexico (Cooperacion Tecnica Alemana), part of the German Agency for International Cooperation or (GIZ).
The signing, announced in a Linkedin post by Hy2gen, was attended by Campeche’s governor Layda Elena Sansores and Wolfgang Dold, German Ambassador in Mexico.
Cooperation between the parties was initially agreed upon a year ago as part of Germany’s International Hydrogen Ramp-up Programme - H2Uppp.
