IFC mulls lending up to 45 mln euro for Acciona wind farm in Croatia

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, said it is considering lending up to 45 million euro ($58.7 million) for a greenfield wind power plant (WPP) totaling 30 megawatts owned by Vjetroelektrana Jelinak, the Croatian unit of Spain's Acciona.

The total project cost for the WPP, in the northwest of the Splitsko-Dalmatinska region, is estimated to be approximately 55 million euro, data from the IFC website indicated on Wednesday.

The proposed investment is pending review by the IFC board on May 24.

Acciona is an infrastructure conglomerate, whose core activities include renewable energy, construction, infrastructure concessions, and water.
