Renewables rise and Russian gas declines, says EC report
Sep 12, 2024 11:11 CESTDec 20, 2012 - Belgian nanotechnology research centre Imec said Wednesday it had signed a joint research and development agreement in the field of silicon solar cell technologies with the Kuwait University.
Imec’s wafer-based silicon solar cell industrial affiliation programme will be in the centre of the partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, Kuwait University will become a member of the programme and will strengthen the knowledge and expertise of its researchers in advanced silicon solar cell processing technologies.
Moreover, Imec scientists will participate in training sessions and scientific seminars for students and researchers of Kuwait University.
Professor Hasan Al-Sanad, Kuwait University’s vice president for research, said that the partnership was in line with the university’s strategy to create a favourable environment for the expansion of scientific research in the silicon solar cells sector in Kuwait.
