India offers Cuba cooperation in renewable energy

Sep 17, 2013 - India can help Cuba in training specialists in renewable energy and may participate in a local project, India's minister of new and renewable energy, Farooq Abdullah, said in Havana yesterday.

The countries can do much in this field, especially in solar, wind and biomass energy, Abdullah said during a visit to a photovoltaic project that is expected to produce 1.5 GWh.

Abdullah is visiting the country to strengthen the collaboration, Cuba's state television reported. The visit will continue until Wednesday.
