Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTSKOPJE (Macedonia), January 15 (SeeNews) – Indian energy group OPG Power Ventures and metal products manufacturer BRG Group plan to invest in Macedonia, the government in Skopje said.
OPG Power Ventures, which develops and operates power plants in India, is interested in building thermal power plants and solar plants in Macedonia, the government in Skopje said in a statement on Wednesday following a meeting between prime minister Nikola Gruevski and officials of the company.
Details about the Indian company's investments plans were not disclosed.
India’s BRG Group, which specializes in the production of steel kitcheware, plans to launch production in Macedonia, as its output will be exported to other countries in Europe, the government also said.
BRG is considering a brownfield investment in Macedonia and expects to complete talks with the government on its project in the next few months, the government quoted the company's executive director Sanjay Bhandari as saying.
