German renewables developer Innogy SE (ETR:IGY) said Wednesday it has sold its offshore installation vessel Seabreeze II, along with related equipment.

The vessel was purchased and handed over to Hong Kong-based financial services company SPIC Ronghe International Financial Leasing Co Ltd. Seabreeze II is now sailing under the name Tuo Peng, Innogy said.

As Innogy explained, the company decided a decade ago to fix bottleneck issues by owning and operating its own offshore service vessels. Since then, the availability of a wide range of state-of-the-art installation vessels in Innogy’s core markets has alleviated these bottlenecks.

Seabreeze I was sold in 2015, and the agreement to sell Seabreeze II was signed in February 2020.

The now Tuo Peng meets the requirements of the Asian offshore market and is a great asset to her new owner, Innogy added. This makes the transaction, details of which were not disclosed, a win-win situation for all involved, according to the German company.
