ABP presents plan to turn Port of Barrow into renewables hub
Sep 18, 2024 14:41 CESTBritish renewable energy company Innova said today that it has obtained planning consent from local authorities for a project to build a 22-MWp solar farm in the town of Taunton in Somerset Council.
The Ham Farm Solar Park project, which marks Innova’s second solar project to receive planning permission in Somerset this year, will generate enough clean electricity to power 5,500 homes annually once commissioned.
The company in February was cleared to build the 25-MWp North Preston Solar Park.
The two schemes, which together will bring a total of 47 MWp of solar power to Somerset, support the Council in its goal to become a carbon-neutral county by 2030, Innova noted.
