Niam, Evecon to partner on 84 MWp solar-storage projects in Latvia
Sep 13, 2024 11:09 CESTMay 19 (SeeNews) – US chipmaker Intel Corp (NASDAQ:INTC) and peer Altera Corp (NASDAQ:ALTR) have restarted negotiations on a possible deal that could hit USD 13 billion (EUR 11.5bn) in value, the New York Post reported on Monday.
The parties were discussing a deal earlier this year, but talks collapsed as they failed to agree on a price, Reuters reported last month. The outcome from the negotiations is expected in a couple of weeks, a source told the New York Post.
Intel and Altera were first reported to be discussing a deal worth USD 10 billion in March, potentially becoming Intel’s biggest acquisition ever.
Intel and Altera were not immediately reached for comment.
